Carrie Rodriguez, D.V.M.

Dr. Rodriguez was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida on a small family farm.

“I knew from a very young age that my dream job was to become a veterinarian.  Growing up, I used my free time (when I wasn’t competing at equestrian events or swimming competitively) to practice ‘doctoring’ all the neighborhood animals.”

She worked diligently through college to pursue her dreams at the University of Florida (Go Gators!).  She has a BS in Zoology and earned high honors while achieving her DVM at the UF College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008.   During undergrad, Dr. Rodriguez worked as a vet tech in the large animal department at UF.   While in vet school she chose to do one of her externships at Animal Medical Clinic.  “The exceptional staff and high quality of medicine practiced at AMC was something that I knew I wanted to become part of.  I started working at Animal Medical Clinic immediately after graduation.”

“Veterinary medicine is exciting…on a daily basis I am both challenged and rewarded. My scientific mind loves problem solving which has strengthened my interest in internal medicine cases.  I also enjoy basic soft tissue surgery.  At the end of the day, however, there’s nothing better than puppy kisses and kitten nuzzles.”

Dr. Rodriguez lives in Indialantic with her husband (Casey), 2 young kids (Zachary and Kinley), and Great Dane, who loves to get into trouble and is very lucky that her mom is a vet!

“If I’m not at work or hanging out with my family, you’ll often find me outside running with Xena or in the pool or on my bike training for a triathlon.  Oh yeah, and if the Gators are playing football…you know I’ll be watching”
