Dr. Noelle Bowden was born in Roanoke, Virginia, but was raised a little north of here in Ormond Beach, FL where she lived until leaving for college. She spent 8 years in Gainesville, FL, where she received her bachelor’s of science and her doctorate of veterinary medicine from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). She then practiced in Orlando, Florida until she decided to move back to the coast.
“I knew from a very young age that I was going to be a veterinarian. I always easily bonded with and gravitated toward any animal in my vicinity.”
Dr. Bowden worked diligently throughout school to achieve her goals and graduated with honors. In veterinary school, she was very active in her class, holding leadership positions in the Business Club, Behavior Club, and student government. She was also the Morale Chair of her class, charged with bringing smiles to her classmates on a daily basis.
Her professional interests include canine and feline small animal general medicine, soft tissue surgery, behavioral consultations, and she has special place in her heart for hospice and end of life care (inspired by her personal loss of her treasured family dog, Kelsey). Her favorite part about practicing is definitely the strong bonds she is able to create with the clients, and caring for their pets as if they are her own. She places great importance on the gentle handling of all animals and is dedicated to practicing high quality, thorough medicine.
In her personal life, Dr. Bowden (a recent newlywed!) enjoys any activity she can share with her dogs and being outdoors. She has two Australian Shepherds, Maya and Lulu, as well as two cats, PJ and Sophie. Maya is Dr. Bowden’s right-hand dog, and her favorite activity is to go on the paddle board with her mom. She will even jump from board to board to show off during group outings. Dr. Bowden also enjoys yoga and reading in her free time, and she is always up for a trip to the beach. She is new to Melbourne, but hopes to quickly get involved with the community and explore our town.
